The History

The original Boucherie Beach development was established in 1963 by Arnold and Dorris Frank and their children, Mark and Simone. Initially the Franks built just three cabins — one for their family and two for summer travellers seeking the breathtaking beauty of the Okanagan. As word spread about the little “oasis” on the lake, additional cabins and amenities were added, and the property soon evolved into the highly sought after Boucherie Beach Resort.

Throughout its 50 years of operation, the landmark property hosted thousands of families — many of them returning over the course of two and three generations. Passersby on the water could always spot the scenic resort by its vast, open grassy area, beautiful trees, expansive beachfront property and signature, brightly painted Adirondack chairs.

PRESERVING THE MEMORY

In 2011, the Frank family sold the Boucherie Beach property to its new owners: former guests that had visited the cherished family getaway since they were children. Deeply connected to the property, the new owners have committed to preserving the memory, magic and tranquility of the original resort by keeping the number of cottages to a minimum and ensuring very little disruption to the original grounds.
